Will "Localism" Replace Capitalism?

In this article Chris Hedges talks about the writings of Richard Heinberg and Joseph Tainter, who predict the early demise of capitalism and the growth economy and the need to develop localism to replace them.  Sobering reading.  But bear in mind that growth is also the informing principle of cancer.
