We want a "peace economy" that creates jobs, invests in our communities, restores and improves public services, saves the environment, and builds the infrastucture. Some people think that lobbying is a greater threat to our democracy than corporate contributions to political campaigns. It is certainly a lucrative line of work. It has been going on forever, and it seems almost impossible to stop.
