Whistle Blowers of 1777

In 1777, when the heads of members of the Continental Congress were in danger, they were willing to protect members of the navy who blew the whistle on an officer who mistreated prisoners.  Would that our present congressman had such courage.  This is a good article about the 1777 story and about what's going on today.
