We want a "peace economy" that creates jobs, invests in our communities, restores and improves public services, saves the environment, and builds the infrastucture. We urge you to sign the petition at www.jobs-not-wars.org that calls for an end to the austerity and militarism that this Congress and Administration seem intent on.
You have probably noticed that this blog stopped rather abruptly on July 29 and has not appeared again until today. That was the day my wife Mary, with whom I was married almost forty-eight years, suffered a massive stroke. She was hospitalized and cared for by the wonderful people of hospice until the following Sunday, August 4, when she passed away. As you can imagine, I have not had the heart or spirit to continue the blog, but during the month of August approximately 4,000 people visited the blog. One hundred thirty visited yesterday. My question is: should we go on with the blog or let it go? I will greatly appreciate your comments either on the comments link or to my e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you very much.
