Hello,
Please see the message below from PennEnvironment, a statewide, citizen-based environmental advocacy organization:
The thousands of drilled Marcellus Shale wells are just the beginning.
In the coming years, Exxon Mobil, Range Resources and others plan to drill tens of thousands of more Marcellus Shale wells, threating our health and environment. That's why they are putting so much energy and resources fighting any policies that will protect us from this dangerous industrial activity.
We've launched a new project to give Pennsylvanian's, new or experienced, the tools they need to protect their community. Can you join us on Thursday, December 1 at Villanova University?
WHAT: Villanova Marcellus Shale Citizen Organizer Training
WHERE: Villanova University, Dougherty Hall
WHEN: Thursday, December 1, 6-9 p.m.
Our plan is simple, but big. We need to train 1,000 Pennsylvanians with the skills they need to protect their communities from gas drilling. Whether you're new to activism or have been on the frontlines of the Marcellus Shale, this training will help you take the fight to the next level.
You'll learn from our staff and other organizers in the area how to effectively engage with decision makers on these issues, generate massive coverage in the media, and how to hold your elected officials accountable for their failure to tackle the Marcellus Shale gas drilling issue. And, you'll get to meet more people working on these issues so you can band together to protect your community.
Click here to let us know if you'll be attending.
We look forward to seeing you there
Sincerely,
David Masur
PennEnvironment Director
